Before you book

Start with passengers and bags

The right vehicle depends on more than its seat count. Suitcases, child seats, mobility equipment, journey length and the space your group wants should all be considered before booking.

Count everyone travelling, including children, then list your bags by approximate size. A pushchair, wheelchair or other bulky item should be mentioned separately. If you expect to shop during the trip, allow space for the return journey too.

For a group of five or more, send both the passenger count and luggage details. A vehicle can then be recommended for the actual load rather than its advertised seating capacity alone.

Vehicle options

Which vehicle suits your group?

Standard MPV

An MPV may suit a smaller group with light luggage. If most seats will be occupied, confirm the space left for bags before booking.

Premium MPV

An Alphard or Vellfire is an option when cabin comfort is a priority. Do not assume it offers the most luggage room; ask for a fit check using your bag sizes.

Van

A van is worth considering for a larger group or several large bags. Its fit should still be confirmed for your exact party and luggage.

The vehicle choice should be checked against the number of occupied seats, bag dimensions and any special equipment. If you have up to 14 luggage items, share their sizes when requesting a quote rather than relying on a luggage count alone.

Quote checklist

What to send when requesting a quote

  • Pick-up and drop-off locations
  • Travel date and preferred time
  • Number of adults and children
  • Number and size of bags
  • Child seat or accessibility requirements
  • One-way, return or multi-day itinerary

A photo of unusually large luggage can help with the vehicle recommendation. Mention extra pick-ups or sightseeing stops too. A suitable vehicle and route can then be quoted for your trip.

Travel questions

Frequently asked questions

Is a seven-seater suitable for seven travellers with luggage?

Not necessarily. When every seat is occupied, less space may remain for bags. Send the passenger count and luggage details before confirming the vehicle.

Should a group book one van or several cars?

One van can make it easier for everyone to travel together. The best option still depends on group size, bag dimensions, route and vehicle availability. Ask for a quote for the suitable options.

Can a driver stay for a multi-day trip?

Share your full itinerary and preferred schedule so an appropriate chauffeured travel arrangement can be quoted.
