Johor's most unique farm experience starts with a fruit you have probably never heard of: Jaboticaba — a Brazilian grape tree that grows its fruit directly on the bark of the trunk in clusters, like something out of a fantasy novel. SuperFruits Farm Senai holds the title of Malaysia's largest Jaboticaba plantation, covering 100 of its 150 acres with these extraordinary trees, some over 30 years old and still producing abundantly.

Nestled at the base of Gunung Pulai (a mountain with its own history, having served as the British army's stronghold during World War II), Rainforest Tree House is an eco-friendly retreat that gives you actual treehouses to sleep in. Six unique treehouses are built into the hillside, each one positioned to let you fall asleep to the sounds of the rainforest and wake up to birdsong at first light.

The experience is deliberately rustic — foldable mattresses, mosquito nets, fans, natural ventilation through the gapped flooring, and cold showers. But the setting makes up for everything. V'Farm Village in Pontian takes a different angle on the farmstay concept — this one is about healing and reconnection. Built around a working stingless bee (kelulut) farm with a "Nature & Relax" philosophy, the property is designed for those who want to slow down completely, breathe in clean air, wander among tropical greenery, and leave the noise of the city behind without a checklist of activities demanding their attention.

The stingless bee experience is the centrepiece — visitors can observe the kelulut hives up close, learn about their unique properties compared to conventional honeybees, and taste the raw honey that has become increasingly prized in Malaysian wellness circles for its high antioxidant content.
